Val Saint-Lambert,
breath regained.
Val Saint-Lambert, in Seraing, was once one of the largest crystal works in the world. From its immense workshops rose the breath of the glassmakers and the sound of crystal cut on the wheel; most of that industrial heritage has now vanished.
From period documents, engravings and reworked postcards, I recompose the atmosphere of these workshops: the furnaces, the showroom, the gestures of the workers and apprentices. A contemporary interpretation that seeks the living memory of a place rather than an exact restitution.

Their intent is to bring back to life, through a contemporary interpretation, the atmosphere, the gestures and the memory of an industrial heritage that has now vanished.
